CBT for pregnancy, birth, health & wellbeing
Hello.
I’m Sarah Wardley and I specialise in providing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to address mental health concerns related to pregnancy, childbirth and parenting.
Additionally, I can support you if you are struggling with your mood and are living with a long-term illness (with or without chronic pain).
I have appointments available either face-to-face in Oxford or anywhere online in the UK.
Can I help you?
Pregnancy, birth and beyond
Perhaps you are expecting a baby and grappling with anxiety and low mood or fear about what could happen at the birth? Maybe you are feeling low, overwhelmed and unconfident as a new parent?
Long term illness and chronic pain
Many people with long term health problems and chronic pain can feel stressed, worried, angry and depressed.
CBT can help you understand why you feel the way you do as well as provide tools and techniques to support you. Some problems I can help with include:

About Me
As a Registered Midwife, former Health Visitor and NHS-trained Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapist, I bring a unique blend of expertise to my practice.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is the cornerstone of my therapeutic approach and is endorsed by NICE for managing mild to moderate anxiety and depression, and conditions like OCD, phobias, and PTSD.
Recently, NICE also recommended CBT for supporting women dealing with mental health difficulties during menopause.
My medical background means I can offer compassionate and informed support to guide you through these significant life transitions.
I also work as a CBT Therapist and Perinatal Champion for a London NHS Talking Therapies Service.
I am BABCP accredited.
